FAI Membership

We’re all passionate about folk, but we’re also aware of the challenges that come with building a sustainable career in folk music. To break down the barriers, we’ve created a robust membership program dedicated to strengthening the genre and supporting those who have made a career out of it.

Members of Folk Alliance International are part of a worldwide professional network. Our membership program is intended to provide connection, access, and support to the broad range of professionals in the folk genre.

Whether you’re an artist looking to build a team and meet songwriting collaborators, or a festival director searching for undiscovered talent, becoming a member allows you to reach your career goals and become an official part of the extended folk community. Industry members get discounts to our conference, work visa letters of support, access to exclusive online content, the ability to vote in the International Folk Music Awards and serve on the board of directors, and so much more.

We offer memberships for individuals and groups, and each membership renews on the annual start date, May 1.
