The event features great folk artists that include Steve Eaton (headliner performance), Wayne Worthen, The Real Doug Lane, Absolute Zero, Emilee Bunker-Smith, Che Zuro, Lee Penn Sky, Crazy Love, Southbound, Toney Rocks, Red River Ray (children’s program), Ohphelia, Crazy Mountain Billies, the Shokota Dance Group, Will Baxter Band, Dewdroppers, The Band 3 (Tahra Charmaine, Jason Greene & Dan Mihlfeith.

In addition to the Folk Festival, a special Community Celebration on Sunday morning from 10am to noon will be held featuring Tahra & Friends with a host of musicians performing a free community concert.

The quaint little village of Lava Hot Springs is nestled in the Portneuf River valley in the southeast corner of Idaho and features world-famous hot springs to soak in, a variety of activities to enjoy, and lots of places to stay.
The first notes from the Lava Hot Springs Folk Music Festival filled the mountain air in April of 2016. Envisioned by local musicians, parents, and community merchants, the festival was created as a funding vehicle for a new music program in the Lava Hot Springs elementary school. The Lava Hot Springs Folk Festival is all about the music.

The music that permeates the town during the annual festival, the musicians that live among us or travel to join us to share their gifts, and the rising generations who enjoy the rich opportunities provided by an improved music education in the local schools.
