The Dan Hazlett Variety Hour Week Five! Hoopty Do!
May 21 @ 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM EDT
Here we are, still hunkering which is a much classier version of hankering and coincidental with hungering which may explain all the weight gain. Another possible cause might be all the pictures of food that people keep posting. They are looking much more appetizing than the junk food commercials we’re used to on television which, honestly are only a step up from those intermission ads at the drive in used to be. Folks of a certain age will remember the films of slimy looking hotdogs and oozy burgers they used to throw up on the screen. There’s some talk of drive-ins making a reemergence. If that happens, I’m pulling for more appealing food ads. Maybe they can just use some shots from your facebook posts. Be sure to hold out for royalties.
Anyway, the next episode of my Variety Hour is on tap for this coming Thursday at the usual 3:00 PM EDT. I hope you can join us. This weeks theme is “Songs From the Vault.” That is – songs that have not been often heard in my live shows or have long ago disappeared from my repertoire. Sadly we will not feature food photos. However, we will announce the winner of last week’s trivia contest, present the “Joke of the Week!” and, most importantly our talented guest “Star From Afar!”
This week’s guest really is from afar. My amazingly talented friend Rob Kneisler is traveling all the way from Seattle just to appear on the show. Wait till you hear his guitar work. Wait till you get a load of his fancy guitar. You won’t want to miss.
Bless you all and keep on doing what you are doing so well.
