October 26 @ 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM CDT$25
A group of friends started out sharing songs and stories one night outside of Kingston, NY, and suddenly a band was born. The Upstate Collective brings the upstate music community together to share a love of music and songs with one another.
Boston Native MEG TOOHEY is a 25 year veteran of the music scene. Her songs have been featured on countless shows and promotions. Her guitar playing has been sought out by artists like The Weepies, Lori Mckenna, and Sara Barellies, Meg’s versatility and virtuosity as a player, writer and producer has brought her all over the world, from Barcelona (recording and performing with the legendary Manolo Garcia) to Broadway as a of Original Broadway Cast member of “Waitress, The Musical.” Her 2020 album “Butch” brought her back to her roots as a songwriter and tied her back into a community of artists that she’s loved for so many years.
In her unassuming yet beguiling way, AMBER RUBARTH draws you into a world where wonder and high-minded concepts weave into a poetic tapestry, a world where space and time can come screeching to a halt with “songs so strong they sound like classics from another era,”(AcousticGuitar). She has toured throughout the world from South Africa to Japan, numerous times across Europe and North America including CarnegieHall. Amber has played shows with legendary artists including Emmylou Harris, Kenny Loggins, and Richie Havens.
