Two great bands with deep roots in Seattle, streaming from two different cities, on one night, for our listening pleasure!
Dawn Clement Trio Live from Denver
6pm MT/5pm PT
Dawn Clement—former mainstay of the Seattle jazz scene, winner of two Earshot Jazz awards for Outstanding Artist and one for Best Performance, and called “Seattle’s jazz wonder woman” by Seattle Times music critic Paul de Barros—returns to the Royal Room in a livestream show. Now director of jazz studies at Metropolitan State University (MSU) in Denver, Dawn will bring a trio that includes saxophonist, solo artist, and MSU instructor Anisha Rush, along with bassist William Kuepper, who plays and sings in a variety of styles, from folk to jazz to bluegrass and soul. Come celebrate Juneteenth and the start of summer with a live show led by one of Seattle’s—and now Denver’s—most beloved musicians.
