Folk DJs Unlocked sponsored by Art Menius Radio and Mailing Service

Folk DJs Unlocked has become a highlight pre-conference tradition, and we are happy to announce it is back again this year!
How does it work?
1. Anyone can attend as a spectator by registering for the Zoom.
2. All Folk DJs (whether you're registered or not for the 2025 conference) are invited to gather. To participate as a DJ fill out the form: DJs sign up here.
3. Up to 50 artists (registered for the 2025 conference) who have filled out the sign-up form in advance (that's you!) will be randomly selected IN REAL TIME to give a one-minute LIVE pitch each to the whole group (including other artists) during the 90-minute session.
It promises to be a fast-paced, game-like environment that is sure to provide laughs, inspiration and an unforgettable chance to connect with our Folk DJ community.

One-on-Ones

One-on-Ones are a series of 8-minute one-on-one sessions in which registered FAI conference delegates (that's you) will share their work and make a connection with industry delegates. It’s like speed dating for the folk industry. Available industry delegates and their bios are listed at the sign-up link. Additional dates for One-on-Ones are scheduled for 1/30, 2/3 and 2/7, and sign-ups open two weeks prior to the event date.

Elevator Rides

Going up? Anyone who has attended FAI’s in-person conference before knows that riding the elevators can lead to unexpected bouts of laughter, provide hot tips on what events to check out, and facilitate chance encounters between strangers just waiting to become fast folk friends. February 12 at noon CST, catch a virtual lift and find yourself in a six person randomly selected ‘Elevator Ride’ on Zoom, where you can share stories, run into friends you haven’t seen in awhile, and embrace the element of surprise.
