Get rewarded for growing the folk community with our Referral Program! It’s a great way to not only encourage your folk-friends to attend the conference, but also earn money back! If you’re an FAI Member, get $50 when a first-timer registers for the 2024 Conference and lists you as their reference.
It doesn’t stop at one referral: you can refer as many new folks as you want! So 1 qualified referral = $50, 2 referrals = $100, 3 = $150, and so on… up to the full cost of your conference registration! Each referral must be attending the conference for the first time and pay to register.

How to qualify for the referral reward…
These are the qualifications for the person referring (recipient of reward):
- Must be a member of Folk Alliance International
- Must have paid registration (minimum $50)
- NO scholarship recipients
- NO barters
- NO other discount codes used
- Artist Rate registration counts as “full ticket price”
Who qualifies as a referred person?
These are the qualifications for the person referred (First-timer):
- Must be a member of Folk Alliance International
- Must be registered for the conference, and on registration form:
- checked box “first-timer”
- list first and last name of person referring you (no organizations, one individual only)
- Must have paid full ticket price at time of registration
- NO scholarship recipients
- NO barters
- NO other discount codes used
- Artist Rate registration counts as “full ticket price”.
Reward Structure and Payment
- A $50 payment for each qualifying referral you make up to the full amount of your registration is calculated.
- Payments are combined in a single check and mailed to the recipient.
- Checks are sent out the month following the conference.
1 qualified referral = $50
2 qualified referrals = $100
3 qualified referrals = $150
4 qualified referrals = $200
5 qualified referrals = $250
And so on, until reaching the price paid for registration.
