Important Updates to FAI Membership coming May 1

May 1 brings some important changes regarding membership renewal, rate increases, and exciting new benefits for organizational members.

We will be adjusting membership pricing to continue providing the exceptional level of service and advocacy you've come to expect from FAI. This update allows us to invest further in resources that directly benefit our members and the folk music community. A significant portion of the price increase will be distributed to FAI Regions to assist in their vital work.

In addition to continuing access to extensive membership benefits, we have great news for our organizational members! We're excited to announce a change that streamlines your membership and offers greater flexibility:

• Previously, small organization/band memberships had a limit on the number of authorized users.
• Moving forward, your membership will be determined by your organization's annual budget, eliminating the seat limit.
• All individuals formally affiliated with your organization will continue to enjoy the full range of member benefits.

Renew Early & Save!

Currently, our membership year runs from May 1 – April 30. All FAI memberships expire annually on April 30 of each year.

Existing members who renew before April 29, 2024 will have a 1-year grace period with current pricing before experiencing these pricing changes May 1, 2025. We hope this grace period allows time for our existing members to adjust to these updates while enjoying all the updated benefits! In order to renew during the grace period, members who are set to auto-renew will need to call the FAI office.
