Harmonizing Change: LGBTQ+ Songwriters and the Resonance of Resistance
sponsored by Ear Trumpet Labs
Change, amplification, working with the power of music to change the culture. In a world where the LGBTQ+ community still faces numerous challenges and discrimination, music has emerged as a powerful force for change and unity. Join us for a dynamic panel discussion where we'll explore the courageous and transformative journey of LGBTQ+ songwriters and artists who refuse to be silenced in the face of growing anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, drag bans, and bigotry. Our panel brings together a diverse group of LGBTQ+ artists, each with their unique perspective and experiences, to delve into the ways in which music serves as a catalyst for societal change. From folk anthems that inspire resilience to poignant ballads that challenge prejudice, these songwriters are using their voices to not only navigate their own journeys but to also uplift their communities and advocate for justice. Through candid conversations, personal stories, and live performances, we will uncover the power of music as a tool for activism and healing, shedding light on the intersection of identity, artistry, and social progress. Together, we will harmonize change and amplify the voices that challenge discrimination and prejudice in all its forms.
